Where to Find Free New Movies to Watch Online

This article will direct you to some ways you can find free new movies to watch online.  There aren't as many options as one would think, because most links to supposedly FREE online movies just leads to a page full of advertising and pop ups.  I'm not against paying for movies online, personally, but I expect to get very good quality and there's not many places out there that offer it.

Where to start?

Looking for free new movies to watch online is often full of disastrous attempts at "goggling" up some free movies... Instead of that mess, start with Ovguide.com.  This is a great place to start to find movies streaming online.  Streaming movies don't require a download, so you can save yourself the worries of downloading viruses or other problematic computer software. Ovguide has a comprehensive listing and description of many of the sites that offer streaming movies, television shows, sporting events and other online video. They make it easy to search by title or genre.

Where else to look?

Another great resource for finding free new movies to watch for free online are movie forums. There are tons of online movie forums on the web, my personal favorite is Movieforumz.com. Once in a while, the site is overwhelmed by traffic and can be hard to access, which is a common problem with free websites, so you may have to be patient. The forum is usually very up to date, so its another great place to start.

What format should you look for?

I say DivX is the best of the best. There are several divx sites that list only movies in divx format. You will have to download a DivX player to watch movies in this format, but you can find this easily and avoid downloading any viruses with it.

Any other recommendations?

Of course, free new movies to watch online would be great... but the problems you will run into will often cause a headache.  You will often get choppy video, out of sync audio/video, and other problems along the way.  The reason for these problems is because you are trying to watch the same content as thousands and thousands of other users and free websites don't have the money to handle that kind of traffic to their websites.  Sometimes, its best to just pay a one time fee for a service that has it all.  In the long run, the trouble you save can be well worth it.

Watch Movies Online - Easier Than Before

I remember 5 or even 2 years ago it was pretty difficult to watch movies online. This was the time wheb sites like Napster were getting sued for allowing individuals to share their hard drives with the world on a peer to peer network. Thus, allowing people in other countries and states to play and swap music that was not accessible on their own drives. The record companies did not find this practice to be beneficial or above the law so they stopped the service. Well, this same concept of stopping people from sharing their movies online was stopped also.

The problem was that film and music companies were not getting their share of the money. They were unable to come to the table and get their piece of the pie. But how was this any different from the days when I could tape my local DJ mix and dub it and pass it on to my friends back in the 80's. At that time no one complained about music swapping by hand. Or even dubbing movies and giving it to someone else. No money swapped. So, what is the problem???

Well, aside from that it seems that some very innovative companies have figured out a way to make the record and film companies happy and also line their pockets with money. Companies like iTunes and Amazon.com are now some of the leaders of online movie download. Both services charge a fee for individuals to download either a movie, music or a TV episode. A portion of that money goes to the company that owns the film or show. But a portion of the money goes to the distributing company.

These services have been a god sent blessing to most people that want to see a movie the day they comes out, without having to go to the local Walmart to buy the DVD. They have made it simple to just buy the movie online, save it on my local computer and watch it whenever I fill fit. This makes it easy to watch the movie online on a computer, on a ipod or import it to a device like a xbox 360 and watch it on a TV.

But let's say that you don't want to buy the movie. Maybe it is not worthy of a full purchase price. Well, iTunes and Amazon still have you covered. You can rent the movie and then you will have a month to watch the movie once within a 24 hour period once you start watching the movie. This is more than enough time to watch the movie a number of times.
With the way technology is going these days it is just easier than ever to watch movies online without all the hassle.

12 Nifty Ways to Stream Internet Movies at Home

What if you could watch all your favorite movies and TV shows from the comfort of your home - whenever you wanted to watch them. Wouldn't that get your pixels firing on all cylinders?

Well, now you can!

Of course, this is nothing new, since one obvious way to do this is through your cable company which more than likely already offers On Demand movies and programs. However, there are many drawbacks to these cable services, with cost being the major concern.

But forget cable services, that's strictly old school. Right now we are entering the dawn of a new age in home entertainment -- heralding the arrival of Multiplex TV.

Mainly because we are seeing the fusion of your TV and computer screen. The marriage of your TV screen with your computer screen is fast approaching, if it hasn't already arrived. Probably eloped while you weren't watching; but many smart consumers have already taken note and taken advantage of these two merging entertainment forces.

Although using the Internet as a vehicle to deliver high-quality entertainment to your TV screen is still in its infancy, there are quite a number of services and products out there which will allow viewers to gain access to streaming on-demand TV programs, movies and original online content via the web. These services will greatly expand the level of your home entertainment experience and enjoyment.

So the real question is where and how do I gain access to this vast and powerful online database of streaming media?

There are numerous services you can choose from and some of them are even free, while most are subscription based. Regardless, all will provide you with more than enough content for totally enjoying online streaming media from the comfort of your home.

Here, in my opinion, are the best options available right now and a few upcoming ones you should know about.

1. TVersity

TVersity is a free program you can download for free from tversity.com. TVersity works by installing a media server on your PC that will transmit your media to anywhere you like. In conjunction with a gaming console such as PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, TVersity will open up to you a wide variety of media from the internet. One of the main features that make TVersity so great is that it can convert your files into the correct format for easy streaming. This is very important because certain gaming consoles can only play certain file formats. TVersity eliminates any playback problems, no matter what type of media hub you're using such as Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, iPhone, PSP, or others.

2. Vizio's Connected HDTVs (Coming in Fall 2009)

Vizio is planning to have their own Internet-enabled high-definition TV set which is coming out in the Fall of 2009. The details are still in the works, but these Television sets should have the capability to connect to your home internet feed, through an Ethernet connection or a wireless signal, allowing you to access all the online content providers, such as Netflix, Amazon and Blockbuster. If these TV sets actually produce even half of what they are promising, it may be a worthwhile investment and you should hold out until they are released if buying a TV is high on your list of things to do.

3. LG's NetCast Entertainment Access HDTV (Coming in May and June 2009)

This spring LG is introducing a Television set that has their NetCast Entertainment Access function built in. Perhaps, seeing the potential Blu-ray players have with streaming capability, LG has opted to do away with the box altogether. There will be four internet-enabled TV sets: the 42LH50 and 47LH50 LCD TVs and the 50PS80 and 60PS80 plasmas. All the television sets will allow access to Netflix, CinemaNow and YouTube; eliminating the need for alternative devices by gaining access through an Ethernet connection.

4. Media Mall's PlayOn Digital Media Server (Price: $40)

Media Mall is a third-party software that lets you watch Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, CBS, CNN, ESPN and more on your TV. Basically, it enhances the streaming functions of your video game console. You can run the program on your Windows PC and this allows your gaming console to access streaming data via your computer, to be displayed on your TV set. Isn't technology wonderful?

5. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (Price: $199 - $299; $399 - $499)

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are not just gaming consoles, they also have the ability to be full featured media centers. For example, Xbox 360 is capable of supporting Netflix streaming and Xbox Live MarketPlace allows for the purchasing of movies or TV shows. PlayStation 3 has a similar feature, the PlayStation Network Store, which you can download video content to the internal hard drive for viewing. Plus, by adding third-party software, your Xbox and PlayStation 3 can be made to support internet streaming from Hulu.com, Amazon On Demand and other such movie providers.

6. LG BD 370 Blu-ray Player (Price: $330)

This LG Blu-ray player comes equipped with NetCast Entertainment Access. You can stream video from Netflix, YouTube and CinemaNow. (CinemaNow is similar to Amazon Video On Demand) The LG BD 370 will quickly become a main asset to anyone's Home Entertainment Network.

The Roku Digital Video Player is a very cheap way to bring streaming internet media to your Television set. It was released when Netflix launched its "Watch Instantly" program. Best Netbook PC For Streaming Video

Netbooks are capable of streaming online video content such as YouTube, and while most minis are similar to each other thanks to highly integrated parts supplied by Intel, there are differences too. To choose the best one that doesn't break the bar you need to know what to look for.

When you're buying a netbook you most probably have the price as your first priority. This is a good way of coming around the problem but not an optimal one. When you're focused on the price and nothing else you might miss features that would make one deal considerably better than another that's slightly less expensive.

The default mini netbook comes with a 10.1 inch screen, which you need to fully understand before we could step forward to picking one with such a screen size. This is small, if you have a 22 inch desktop monitor, you may be able to imagine how small it is, really. You can put 4 netbook screens next to each other in 2-2 in a row and still have a smaller visible area. The resolution is a mere 1024 by 600 so 720p videos cannot be watched directly on it in native resolution.

If you don't have a problem using such a screen size you may start looking for one that plays streaming media well. Intel Atom N270, N280, N450, and the Z5xx series are too slow to play High Definition YouTube videos unaided, so if you want to go higher than 360p, you have to pick a netbook with either a dual core intel atom processor or a good graphic adapter, Nvidia ION for example, or both.

The problem with such netbooks is that they usually come with a 12" screen and since more powerful components, bigger screen area use more energy, the battery will run out sooner and the computer will cost much more than a simple one. If you're fine with the standard 360p you can have any 10" netbook out there, they're almost identical in hardware setup. The only difference you should be looking for is the presence of an HDMI port.

In case you have an LCD HD TV you will appreciate the native digital output to play those movies and videos on the big screen without back and forth transcoding. It adds to the price, too so you really have to know what features you really need before jumping ahead ordering the first netbook you see.

For 10", simple ones that play things smoothly when you don't venture to HD, you should take a look at Asus' 1001HA,1005HA or PE, HP Mini 210, Dell Inspirion 1xxx series. They're almost identical in both performance and build quality. Prices are also around $300-$350 for all of them.

12" models are few and far between, but you can find them if you look at the right place. Lenovo S12 comes with HDMI, single core atom, Nvidia ION, but there are three different configurations running under the same name, so pick the one with the Nvidia chip. The other option I know of is the 1201n from Asus with dual core atom 330, Nvidia ION and all the connectors you can ask for.

They're reasonably priced at around $450-$500 but for that amount of money you may want to take a look at other 13" models. There is no best netbook pc for streaming videos, but there are good ones you can choose from once you've decided what features you want in yours.

How To Watch Online Movies

Tired of paying dollars for watching online movies? I will tell you in a very easy way about how you can watch movies for free online on your own computer or laptop.

There are many ways from which you can watch movies, but the best way is YouTube, it is a video streaming website and currently world's no.1 video streaming website where you can watch loads of videos of other people where they are uploading various kinds of videos like animals, songs, music, tutorials, internet tips and more.

But this is only the beginning believe me, you can even watch online movies on YouTube for free, this is what the best part is, you only have to be really creative and you'll have to search the right keywords on YouTube if you want to watch movies right on your computer screen, Basically YouTube offers a search engine where you  can type keywords about what you want to see, and if there is any video which matches with your keyword term, it'll show up.  Now if you want to watch a movie like say: High School Musical, you'll have to type something like: high school musical dvd rip, high school musical part 1, or anything which matches with the movie title.

In case if you aren't able to find any movie there, try going on to DivX Videos, where you can watch movies for free in a great quality, which you can't find easily anywhere else.  Similarly, you can visit forums where there are Free Online Movies streaming, and more like that.

So these are the multiple ways for watching movies, videos, music videos and more, although these are only the few websites which are offering streaming, there are thousands of more on which you can stream videos and watch.

The Best iPad Apps - Netflix TV Show and Movie Streaming App

The Netflix iPad app is one of the best iPad apps available today and was one of the iPad's first killer apps released last April. Netflix subscribers can instantly watch TV shows and movies which are streamed from Netflix to the Apple iPad using the free Netflix app. It works as magically as it sounds.

The Netflix app has always provided the ability to resume watching where you left off on your TV or Computer through the iPad as the Netflix cloud-based streaming solution inherently provides that ability. The iPad app also provides a pop-up window with a detailed description and photo of the DVD jacket for movies and TV shows subscribers are interested in and want to learn more about as well as the option to rate TV shows and movies you just watched. You can search for content, browse by category, check your account and view and manage your queues. The interface looks identical to the Netflix website.

In addition to the basic features, the Netflix iPad app has upgraded features since initially being released last April. When the iPad was first released, only Apple apps provided support for an external monitor hookup but shortly after launch, the Netflix app added this functionality giving subscribers the ability to use the iPod Dock Connector to VGA Adapter to watch Netflix on a TV, monitor, projector or LCD display that can use a VGA cable.

Streaming TV shows and movies to a handheld tablet? Can that possible work?

This seemingly Star Trek-ish technology does work and works well. Once you enter your Netflix account information into the Netflix app, you have total access to your Netflix account. When you click "Play" on a TV show or movie, the real magic begins as within mere seconds the video content begins playing. The video typically comes across amazingly well. You can perform high speed scrubs, pause and change aspect while watching the movie. Additionally, if you need screenshots of TV shows or movies, you can use the standard iOS screenshot method (holding down the Power button while clicking the "iPad button".

The Netflix app does encounter issues when the network link is slow causing the audio and video to freeze or audio to disappear. More recently there have been issues with the Netflix streaming servers as there are more adopters of the instant streaming service.

Even with these minor issues that occur infrequently, the Netflix instant streaming service and the Netflix app combined with the iPad create a killer iPad app and is the reason the Netflix iPad app is one of the best iPad apps available.

Doug Felteau enjoys blogging about the latest gadgets and anything technology related and maintains a monthly article on Gizmos for Geeks listing the best iPad apps. An avid iPad user since the device was released, Doug has integrated the device and apps into his everyday life.
